Edward Enninful Collaborates with Sister to Launch Media and Entertainment Company EE72

Edward Enninful is embarking on an exciting new chapter.

The influential fashion figure has revealed his latest project just a year after stepping down as the editor-in-chief of British Vogue, following a memorable final cover. Teaming up with his sister, Akua Enninful, Edward is launching a global media and entertainment company called EE72. The firm aims to “develop and produce transformational content, immersive experiences, and innovative products” through strategic partnerships with visionary creators and pioneering companies. Edward will take on the role of co-founder and chief creative officer, while Akua will serve as co-founder and CEO.

“EE72 signifies a natural evolution of my career,” Enninful stated. “We’re establishing a space where creativity knows no limits, and diverse voices not only exist but lead the way. Our mission is to transform how we perceive and understand one another, fostering connections across cultures and communities.”

He further shared insights about the launch in an Instagram Reel, emphasizing his belief in the transformative power of storytelling. “I’ve always believed in storytelling’s ability to change our world,” he expressed, highlighting his impressive career trajectory. “With EE72, we’re refining that vision. From i-D to Italian Vogue, Japanese Vogue, American Vogue, W, and ultimately British Vogue, all of these experiences have paved the way for this initiative aimed at uniting people through creativity. Now is the moment to launch this platform in a world that often feels divided. It’s time for collaboration, creation, and discovering a new path forward. At EE72, we’ll focus on developing content and experiences that unite individuals.”

Although specific details about the content and experiences are still under wraps, he hinted that this is merely the start of an exciting journey.

Enninful rose to prominence in the fashion industry when he became the fashion director at i-D magazine at just 18 years old, a role he held for nearly twenty years. His extensive resume also includes roles as a contributing fashion editor for Vogue Italia and Vogue, as well as a creative fashion director at W. He served as editor-in-chief of British Vogue from 2017 until his final issue, the star-studded March 2024 edition, which was released in February 2024. Additionally, he was the global creative and cultural advisor for Vogue under the guidance of Anna Wintour.
