Game, Set, Match: Is Blake Lively in Trouble?

During the filming of “It Ends With Us,” Justin Baldoni reportedly sent his co-star Blake Lively a seven-minute voice memo detailing his thoughts on a pivotal rooftop scene. In a lawsuit filed on January 16, Baldoni claims that Lively made significant alterations to the scene after he had previously agreed to her suggestions.

Before Baldoni filed his counter-lawsuit, Lively accused him of sexual harassment while they worked together on the popular film. She stated that Baldoni fostered a toxic environment on set and engaged in actions that she deemed detrimental to her reputation.

In the voice memo, revealed by TMZ on January 27, Baldoni begins, “Hey Blake, it’s 2 AM. I hope I’m not waking you up. There’s a lot I want to talk about.” He expresses his feelings regarding their adaptation of the film, starting with an apology, stating, “Reading your message, my heart sank. I’m really sorry. You worked so hard on that, and I appreciate you sharing your feelings with me.”

The source of TMZ’s access to this private message remains unclear, as does the specific content of Lively’s previous accusations that prompted Baldoni’s apology.

Baldoni expresses gratitude for Lively feeling “safe enough” to share her experiences with him and acknowledges, “I messed up. That’s on me. I’m not perfect, as my wife will tell you.”

Previously, Lively had accused Baldoni of unwanted physical contact, inappropriate discussions about his sex life, and presenting her with explicit materials during filming.

Baldoni admits, “I will make mistakes. I’ll say the wrong thing or make a blunder. But I aim to apologize and correct my wrongs. You have my promise on that.” He reiterates his remorse, stating, “I’m sorry for how you felt, that must have been awful.”

Just weeks prior, Baldoni filed a $400 million lawsuit against Lively and others, accusing her of defamation and fabricating claims.

Additionally, Baldoni expressed his disbelief over the challenges Lively and other actresses face in the industry, stating, “It’s shocking to hear what you’ve gone through. I hope it hasn’t been the same with me.”

The recent disclosure of this voice memo aligns with a federal judge’s decision indicating that Baldoni and Lively may proceed towards a trial slated for March 9, 2026.
