Excitement is brewing as the first major acquisition from Sundance 2025 has been announced. NEON has secured the global rights to the feature film “Together,” marking the directorial debut of writer Michael Shanks. The film features real-life couple Alison Brie (The Rental, Somebody I Used to Know) and Dave Franco (The Rental) in leading roles.
Adding to the impressive cast is Damon Harriman (Better Man). “Together” is produced by a collaborative effort involving Brie, Franco, Erik Feig, and Julia Hammer from Picturestart, with backing from Tim Headington and Max Silva of Tango, Andrew Mittman from 1.21, and Mike Cowap from Princess Pictures.
In this horror narrative, a couple’s relocation to a rural area puts their relationship to the test, leading to a haunting experience that drastically alters their love, lives, and even physical forms. Since its premiere at the Sundance festival’s Midnight Section on January 26, the film has garnered an impressive 100% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Mark your calendars: NEON plans to unveil “Together” in theaters on August 1st.
