Legendary actress Jacqueline Bisset, actor/director Jack Huston, and songwriter Diane Warren—who is nominated for an Oscar for the 16th time this year—will be the distinguished guests at the opening ceremony of the 20th Los Angeles, Italia Film, Fashion and Art Festival on Sunday, February 23, as announced by festival organizers.
The ceremony will unfold at the TCL Chinese Theatres in Hollywood, where it will also pay tribute to renowned filmmaker Sergio Castellitto with a dedicated retrospective. Other honorees include Pupi Avati, Antonio Avati, and Marco Belardi. The event will feature a special screening of Roberto Rossellini‘s 1954 classic Journey to Italy, starring Ingrid Bergman, in recognition of both Rossellini and Bergman’s daughter, Isabella Rossellini, who is receiving her first Oscar nomination for her supporting role in Conclave.
The festival will showcase over 120 films, including 30 U.S. premieres, across venues in Hollywood and on the platform eventi.org. On Monday, February 24, Castellitto and Conclave director Edward Berger will be honored for their contributions. Additionally, this year’s Italian Oscar nominees, including Rossellini and set decorator Cynthia Sleiter, will be celebrated on Friday, February 28, during a special tribute organized by Consul General Raffaella Valentini at the Italian Cultural Institute.
Chairing this year’s festival will be producer Raffaella De Laurentiis and actor Franco Nero, with production helmed by Pascal Vicedomini, maintaining the tradition of celebrating Italian contributions to film and art.
